ENCOUNTER   PROGRAMME
FEP
An oasis of collaborative inter-faith engagement
in the heart of the Midlands Region

About Us

The Faith Encounter Programme (FEP) is an independent initiative set up to
promote religious harmony and social cohesion for the benefit of the public.  Over the
years, our extensive knowledge of the faith sector and involvement with a wide range of
faith-inspired organisations has helped us to successfully engage collaboratively with with
diverse faith communities of Birmingham, the Midlands region and further afield.

Our aims include;
1.Offering customised courses in Faith Guiding to train Guides of all faiths to receive
visitors with confidence and openness at their places of  worship in the Midlands Region.

 2. Facilitating educational visits and programmes of faith literacy for young people and adults,
mainly from the region, in order to promote respect and mutual understanding between
people of all faiths and none.
The Faith Encounter Programme (FEP) is managed by a multi faith Steering Group composed of
experienced people of six different faiths. The day to day work of FEP is overseen by designated
Office-bearers on a voluntary basis.  Subject to availability of resources, the FEP is staffed
by sessional tutors and a part-time coordinator.

We are a registered charity. Charity Commission Registration Number:1124521.
